Who We Are
Before 2026, Eastern Stars was three small bands consisting of an even spread of young children through to adults. Through strange alchemy we have boiled this down into a single large band consisting of mostly school leavers, but everyone’s still welcome. If you've put away your instrument since high school and want to give it a go again, or join a community of friendly music-makers, or just gain more performance experience, Eastern Stars might be the place for you.
Eastern Stars is an East Auckland-based wind band aimed at providing enriching entertainment to the community, and the opportunity to perform exciting, challenging music to woodwind, brass, and percussion players of all ages. We regularly attend and have won awards at band competitions such as the Matamata Festival of Music and the NZCBA Festival.
